Violin Stradivari P 2021
Contemporary violin, made by Jose Catoira on a personal interpretation of Stradivari P mould of the Golden Period. Departing from the P mould and the measurements of the Gibson Stradivari o 1713 played by virtuoso Joshua Bell, we arrived at this compact model with very even and powerfull sound.
This instrument was a comission by a young energetic player and it is now sounding in Ulm, Germany, where it is being used as a concert instrument in the orchestra.
Aged tonewood, romanian maple with very wide and deep flame and Val de Fiemme spruce with a marked bear claw figure.
Finished with an antiqued oil varnish of my own production and red lake pigments.
