Welcome to my violinmaking studio.

With a career spanning 20 years in fine instrument making and restoration,  each project is approached in a completely individual and artisanal way, looking into every possible detail.

From an early age I realized my vocation as n instrument maker, beggining my career in the Escuela Municipal de Artes y Oficios de Vigo, moving afterward to London to complete it.

My work as a violinmaker and restorer is firmly based on my studies at the Newark School of Violin Making, where I graduated with a Diploma “Upper Merit”. After my graduation I joined the workshop of Juliet Barker in Cambridge, UK, where I took on the role of maker, restorer and teacher of violinmaking.

Coming back to my native Galicia, I worked as assistant of fine luthier Gonzalo Bayolo, with whom I completed polishing and developing my own style.

I keep learning and up to date with the current trends participating regularly in the Oberlin Violinmaker´s workshops of the Violin Society of America. The best possible place to share experience with some of the best professionals in the field.

I work independently from my studio in A Coruña since 2011.

Active member of Gremio de Luthiers y Arquero de España(GLAE), where I serve as chairman at the moment.
